Allison Cloud Infrastructure
Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: July 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the governing rules for using the cloud hosting, email, network, and infrastructure services provided by Allison Cloud Infrastructure ("ACI"), a division of Allison Global Group (Pty) Ltd.
By utilizing any ACI service, you ("Client," "User," or "Reseller") agree to strictly adhere to the provisions outlined in this document. This policy is designed to protect ACI's infrastructure, network reputation, security, and the overall user experience of all clients.
1. System and Network Security
Users are strictly prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of ACI’s network, servers, or systems. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
Unauthorized Access: Accessing data, accounts, or servers that the User is not explicitly authorized to access, or logging into a server or account without proper authorization.
Vulnerability Testing: Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any ACI system or network, or breaching security/authentication measures without explicit written consent from ACI management.
Interference & Attacks: Interfering with service to any user, host, or network, including, without limitation, via means of submitting a virus, trojan, worm, or malware to the network, overloading, "flooding," "mailbombing," or executing Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
Falsifying Identity: Forging any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any email, forum posting, or network transmission to disguise origin.
2. Resource Usage Restrictions (Shared Infrastructure)
To maintain optimal performance for all tenants on ACI infrastructure, standard hosting accounts must not use excessive system resources. Prohibited infrastructure strains include:
CPU and RAM Spikes: Running automated scripts, unoptimized databases, or background processes that consume excessive CPU power or RAM, consistently degrading server performance.
File Storage Abuse: Utilizing shared web hosting accounts primarily as a virtual storage drive, remote file dump, or backup repository for files not directly linked to the hosted website.
Execution Limits: Running standalone, unattended server-side daemons or cryptomining software on ACI servers.
3. Zero-Tolerance Anti-Spam Policy
ACI maintains a strict, zero-tolerance policy regarding unsolicited commercial email (SPAM). ACI’s IP addresses and mail servers must remain reputable.
Unsolicited Bulk Email: Sending unsolicited mass emails, marketing messages, or promotional material via ACI mail infrastructure is strictly forbidden. All mailing lists hosted on ACI must be strictly double opt-in.
Blacklisting Mitigation: If a User’s mailing activities result in an ACI mail server IP address being blacklisted by external providers (such as Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, or Spamhaus), ACI will charge the Client a restoration fee to cover the technical cost of clearing the IP reputation.
Hourly Mail Limits: ACI reserves the right to enforce hourly or daily outgoing email caps on shared hosting and managed email tiers to prevent sudden network exploitation.
4. Content and Material Restrictions
ACI services may only be used for lawful purposes. Hosting, transmitting, or distributing any content that violates the laws of the Republic of South Africa is strictly prohibited. Banned content includes, but is not limited to:
Intellectual Property Infringement: Hosting or distributing pirated software, cracked applications ("nullware"), torrent trackers, or any material that infringes upon third-party copyrights or trademarks.
Malicious Content: Storing or hosting phishing pages (pages designed to mimic banks, social networks, or login portals), malware, spyware, or ransomware distribution links.
Illegal & Harmful Material: Content that promotes hate speech, incites violence, or constitutes illegal material under South African law, including violations of the Cybercrimes Act 19 of 2020.
5. Reseller and Partner Responsibilities
If you are an active participant in the ACI Partnership Program or utilize Reseller Hosting:
You are entirely responsible for the conduct and content of your downstream customers.
You must enforce an acceptable use policy with your users that is at least as restrictive as this AUP.
If a client of an ACI reseller violates this policy, ACI reserves the right to suspend the specific offending account or container without suspending the entire reseller account, where technically feasible.
6. Monitoring, Enforcement, and Penalties
ACI does not actively monitor the private files or daily emails of its users. However, if infrastructure anomalies, external abuse reports, or security logs indicate a breach of this AUP, ACI reserves the right to take immediate action.
Penalties for violating this AUP include:
Immediate Suspension: Temporary restriction of access to files, emails, or websites while an investigation occurs.
Termination: Permanent removal of the client account and immediate deletion of data from our active drives and backups without a refund of pre-paid services.
Legal Disclosure: Cooperating with South African law enforcement authorities if an investigation involves verified criminal or cybercrime activity, in compliance with POPIA protocols.
